The Special Gathering of Walterboro, a division of The Special Gathering, Inc., is a para church ministry within the special needs (mentally challenged) community. We meet every Sunday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. at Faith Church on the corner of Bells Highway and Robertson Blvd. We have a full worship service with refreshments following. We also give out groceries on most Sundays. Special Gathering provides parties and social gatherings to the participants as funds allow.
The staff of Special Gathering are Ferne, Kelly and David Brandt. The members of the Special Gathering board are Diane Wicker (chair), Renea Hannah (vice chair), Bruce Coffin (secretary), Daryl Hunt, Kevin Fowler and Franklin Crosby.
